Obedience in Suffering

Do not waste your tests and trials by failing them! Do not squander your temptations by yielding to them! Do not misuse your sufferings and persecutions by stumbling at them! Do not mishandle your afflictions by murmuring and complaining about them! Learn to be obedient through your sufferings. Be made “perfect” – complete and mature – through your sufferings. There will be no opportunity to overcome on the other side of the veil – forever! The depth of maturity that you reach in this life by overcoming temptation and adversity through Christ, and by learning obedience during your sufferings, will be yours eternally. Once this life is over, you will never again have the chance to go deeper with God, at least in this regard.
